Talking Wellness Baby!

...a pre- & post-natal seminar in Edmonton, AB all about you and your baby!

Whether you are trying to conceive, currently pregnant, a new mother, or are curious to learn more about pregnancy and postpartum wellness, this seminar is for you!

A full day seminar, organized by Ashley Perra Events, you will learn and be inspired by four local professionals, who work with pregnant and postpartum women daily, the changes that occur during pregnancy and how to work with our bodies to make this the healthiest time of our lives! 

The professionals:

Kellie Willie | RN & Exercise Physiologist
Kellie is a Registered Nurse, who works in Labour & Delivery and Perinatal. She is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology and specializes in pre- and post-natal fitness! Kellie, her husband, and their young daughter enjoy being active as a family - running, hiking, working out, practicing yoga, skiing, and biking. Kellie’s passion for prenatal exercise increased during her own pregnancy, as she enjoyed being physically active right up until the day her baby was born. Her recovery from caesarean birth was comfortable, thanks to her prenatal workouts, and she was back into her fitness routine quickly! Kellie strives to inspire others to make their health a priority and enjoy the journey towards the happiest and healthiest version of themselves.

Leah Cadieux | Registered Lactation Consultant
Leah is a Registered Lactation Consultant (RLC, IBCLC, B.A.) working in private practice in Edmonton and surrounding area. Her passion is to support parents to reach their breastfeeding goals, prenatally or during any part of the post-partum period. Partnering with parents, she takes the time to listen fully to your journey and provide education, information and support for your unique parent-child relationship. Aside from being a RLC, IBCLC, she is a recipient of the MILLC scholarship and hold a B.A. in psychology, focusing in early childhood development. She is a wife and mother of three amazing kiddos, runner, triathlete, yogi, reader and traveler.

Carolyn Leibel | Women's Health Physiotherapist
Carolyn graduated from the university of Alberta with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2005; she then completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta in 2008. She has been practicing as a physiotherapist since, mostly in private practice. She started doing Women's Health Physiotherapy in 2011. For her female clients with pelvic health concerns, she uses biofeedback and bladder training techniques to help decrease incontinence and pain. No matter her treatment plan, her focus is always to help her patients live fuller lives. Carolyn has one son, Max, who's just over a year old. Her and her family enjoy being active together, travelling the world, and being outdoors. 

Laura Adam | Registered Dietitian
Laura Adam is a Registered Dietitian and currently a Masters student studying maternal health at the University of Alberta. Laura enjoys cooking, baking, curling, skiing, skating, running, practicing yoga and eating delicious food of course! She works with pregnant mothers on a daily basis and enjoys simplifying the complex world of nutrition! Pregnancy can be a challenging time with food cravings and aversions; however, Laura strives to help each women find simple solutions that work within their own lifestyle. Pregnant mothers want to do all the right things to have a healthy baby and she wants to best guide and support them through this journey towards their best health.

  • Seminar will take place at the Whitemud Creek Hall (951 Ogilvie Road) from 8am - 5pm with an hour break for lunch
  • $45 for a full day
  • $35 for a half day (specify morning prenatal session or afternoon postnatal session upon registering)
  • Both options include lunch and refreshments
  • All four presenters have morning and afternoon sessions
